In a Software Development Company:

outside consultants => sent by company to clients' location to present, sell or promote a company's software product.

internal consultants => software specialists within the company who answers questions raised by the sales teams, and offer support to the outside consultants

office manager => person in charge of a company's daily activities, oversees all operations in a company, such as in charge of sales department, accounting department, support departments

receptionist => person who sits in the company lobby area, answering phone calls, taking messages, or direct walk-in customers to the proper personnels

technical support team => people who offer supports for the software products the company produce, such as installation problem, running issues, or take-in bug reports

software developers => people who actually write the software for the company to sell, skilled in different programming languages

testers => after the software developers design a program, it has to be tested on different system platforms, including software platform (such as different versions of Windows or Mac OS or Linux) and hardware platform (such as different CPU, video card or hardware), and if bugs are found, back to the software developers for rewriting codes

systems analysts => people who, based on the software the company sells, analyze the benefits of such programs for their clientele, could be cost of running the program such as hardware need to be purchased or maintenance contract, etc.

legal consultans => people who knows the law, in case the software programming coding infriged on other companies' coding, or in case of law-suit, knows what to do

clients => customers who might purchase software from the company

sales/marketing team => people who calls prospect clients to sell the company's software, marketing team are people who promotes the software, such as advertisement on newspaper or TV commercial, or internet website design, etc.
